The Day Finally Arrives.....

A  last minute flurry of activity- and we have an exhibition.   Every time we do this I learn something different- this time I learnt that the most important item in an embroiderers kit is a bloke who knows his way around a hammer  I want to extend our grateful and heartfelt thanks to Brian and James who  measured and leveled and actually put us on the walls.

Brian Mackey and James Millar - Our Heroes!
Once up, labelled and straightened and dusted  we stood back and realised......

Actually...... this is a really  really good show.   In fact-here are the pictures...

I'll take this opportunity to thank all the staff at Strule - particularly Margaret and Leanne who guided me through the whole process, and to Jean for opening the show and saying such nice things about us.

We had a lovely afternoon for the opening, and an enthusiastic response from the people of Omagh- Nothing cheers up an embroiderer as much as being asked "How did you do that? and Where can I learn to do that?

My apologies to Irene- I attributed one of pieces to Joanne . And to Lila- I left  the price of one of hers out of the catalogue

AND

I feel this is also the right time to announce that the exhibition will travel to The Curve ,- Bangor Libraries exhibition space-  from 02.04.11- so we get to have another party!
